When Andrea asked via my facebook page if I could help her come up with some ideas for favors for her daughter’s Quinceanera, I jumped at the chance. Having over 8 years event experience, I have never once worked on a single Quince ever! So Andrea you asked and here is what I have come up with just for you and your wonderful daughter!
Andrea was looking for a Musical/Cowboy theme combined into a favor – look at these great ideas that you could apply to other parties and/or theme if you needed!
Idea 1: Simple but fun
Fake mustache’s are all the rage right now, most commonly being used as props for photobooths. Cowboys make you think of rugged guys with mustaches right? Well why not give every guest one to carry with them for the night and beyond. Should make for some great photos, and as they did below you could also incorporate the sheriff badges.
Idea 2: Cowboy hats for everyone!
This could be super fun for the crowd as well as make even more great photos from the special day. To incorporate the music theme you could add a sparkly music note to the front of the hat or even stencil one on with paint. I found these great adult sized hats on Oriental Trading
for $15 per dozen.
Idea 3: Yummy Cookies
What a sweet way to incorporate not only the music theme but the cowboy theme too. These little beauties are made by Little Temptations Bakery
in Austin, Texas but I am sure other local bakeries could do something like this for any party.
Idea 4: A cowboy inspired table setting
Creating a place setting out of the bandanna is a great way to tie in the cowboy theme and then for the name tag, make everyone music notes. Even with the music notes on black paper, all you need is a silver sharpie and you can write their names or a special thank you note to the guests or even a few favorite lyrics to a song. No matter what your color scheme bandannas that coordinate can always be found. According to Country Living
you can actually cut the bandanna’s into quarters to complete this project. So 1 bandanna gives you 4 place settings – that’s a great deal, especially when the bandanna’s are $0.99 at Hobby Lobby or $11 for a dozen at Oriental Trading
Idea 5: Last but certainly not least…
I think this is quite possibly my favorite idea for incorporating a cowboy/music theme with one another. Make a cd of favorite songs, country songs, whatever songs you want really and give them out to your guests.
I found two great examples: the first with a more natural, earthy feel and the second with a bright vibrant bandanna print. Take a look…
So that is 5 great ideas of ways you can incorporate two themes into one! Need some help with your own party ideas? Let me know and I can create some custom ideas just for you!
